Telecommunications services for the transport sector

Corenet Ltd, part of VR Group, provides telecommunications services for rail transport operations and develops specialized telecommunications systems for transport and logistics needs throughout Finland. TDC Song Ltd is a minority shareholder in the company.

VR Group’s telecommunications services generated a net turnover of EUR 20.7 million in 2007.

Corenet’s services include the design, construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks and telematic systems, the leasing of data transmission capacity, and data transmission solutions for office and customer service systems.

Corenet’s services are based upon expert personnel and a 5,800 kilometre long data transfer network linking all the major population centres in Finland.

Corenet employs 210 experts in 14 locations. Customer service personnel are available around the clock at Corenet’s own Call Centers.
