VR Group plays an important role in Finnish society in transporting people and freight. People working for us are doing a job with a purpose.

VR’s operations are based upon responsibility. We look after our personnel, customers and other stakeholders.
Responsibility for the environment is also important for us. Environmental issues have an impact on daily work and on planning for the future. VR has made 12 environmental promises which it aims to carry out, with the support of its entire personnel, by 2012.
VR’s success derives from skilled personnel that are healthy and content. We develop the skills of our employees by arranging regular training, for example in customer service and for supervisory staff. We also encourage and support personnel to look after their health and wellbeing. We provide comprehensive health services and excellent opportunities for sports and holidays.
