Finnish Railway Museum is biggest recipient

The VR Group conducts charity work for several worthy causes each year. The Group also sponsors projects that support its business operations.

In monetary terms, the largest recipient is the Finnish Railway Museum, which promotes Finland’s railway culture. The museum is granted some € 130,000 a year.

In 2008 VR granted € 70,000 to the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (SLL) to support the restoration of Finland’s cultural landscapes. Cooperation with SLL continues in 2009.
