In 2008 the VR Group introduced updated personnel ground rules that focused particularly on equal opportunities. VR treats its personnel equally and fairly regardless of gender, age, race, education or any other background aspect.
The VR Group compiled its equal opportunities plan in 2005 and revised it in 2007. The Group plans to update the plan in 2009, addressing equal opportunities from a broad perspective.
Same salary for men and women
In 2007 VR Group conducted a salary review to compare the salaries received by men and women doing the same work, for employees within the same collective bargaining agreement and on the same payscale. The results showed that men and women who perform the same work at VR are paid the same salary.
The Group’s Board of Directors comprises three women and five men. The Group’s Board of Management currently has ten members, and three of these are women.
