In August, about 1.3 million long-distance journeys were made and approximately 2.0 million tonnes of goods were transported by rail. In total, 9.9 million long-distance journeys were made and 15.5 million tonnes of goods were transported by rail in January–August this year.
Melisa Bärholm has been appointed as SVP of People and Culture and a member of the Management Team of VR Group. Bärholm will take up the position on 11 September 2023 and report to CEO Elisa Markula.
