Trains between Turku and Turku Harbour to be replaced by buses in the period 14 – 20 October

Trains running between Turku and Turku Harbour will be replaced by buses during the period 14 – 20 October while the Finnish Transport Agency renovates the level crossings between the stations.

The buses will aim to run at the scheduled times for the trains. In Turku the buses will depart from in front of the railway station and at Turku Harbour from bus platforms that are marked with a VR sign. Customers can travel in the buses with all valid VR long-distance tickets.

Six trains go to Turku Harbour every day. Five trains depart from Turku Harbour on weekdays and four on Saturdays and Sundays. Trains will run normally between Turku and Helsinki and between Turku and Tampere while the track work is going on. Further information about alterations to rail services can be obtained at railway stations, from VR’s telephone services (in Finland) 0600 41 902 (1 euro/call + local call charge) or on the Internet at www.vr.fi, under ‘Current track work’.
