VR Transpoint sells its stake in Transpoint International (UK)

VR Transpoint sells its stake in Transpoint International (UK) Ltd to local management. Transpoint International (UK) operates domestic transports in Great Britain and international transports. VR Transpoint owns 60 per cent and local management 40 per cent of the company. The company's net sales amount to around three million euros. 'We will focus on VR Transpoint operations which strengthen our service offering to customers and in which we are competitive.

This divestment also releases resources to develop our core businesses,' says Rolf Jansson who heads VR Transpoint. Transpoint International Group is responsible for VR Transpoint’s international road transports and operates groupage, part and full load transports between Finland and Russia, the Baltic States, Central Eastern Europe and Great Britain. VR Group is a versatile, environmentally friendly and responsible travel, logistics and infrastructure construction service company. VR Group provides employment for 12 000 professionals in Finland and ten European countries.
