Its customers include VR Group's various business operations and other Nordic and Baltic operators, such as Helsinki City Transport (HKL), SJ, Helsinki Region Transport (HSL), AS Eesti Liinirongid (Elron) and Vy Tog AS. The company maintains more than 100 different types of rolling stock units, including freight and passenger wagons, track work equipment, locomotives and metro trains.
Our versatile rolling stock expertise is based on almost 160 years of experience in rolling stock maintenance. In addition to operative maintenance and modernisation projects, we prepare for the future and the service offering is constantly evolving through the use of technology and new data- and analytics-based solutions.
Our operations are guided by safety, cost-efficiency and quality. Our aim is for the customers' rolling stock to run on the tracks safely and for as long as possible. Comprehensive maintenance and development of rolling stock is offered through four categories of services. The ModernCare services include work related to lengthening the lifecycle of rolling stock, modernising rolling stock, and system updates. Digital SmartCare services are used to develop condition monitoring and optimisation of rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance. AssetCare services offer rolling stock lifecycle management, maintenance and consulting services. In addition to rolling stock projects, ComponentCare services maintains more than 2,000 component items and seeks solutions to extend the service life of components.
