In Finland, VR plays an important role as a developer of the transport system and as a guarantor of security of supply. We promote the growth, accessibility, and safety of rail transport. This role is also growing in Sweden, where we are the second largest railway operator. In both countries, we maintain ongoing dialogue with various stakeholders, including cities, municipalities, regions, and organizations, to develop regional train services. Cooperation with the state, industry, and customers is part of our everyday work – and at the same time, it is advocacy for sustainable change. With all our actions, we want to demonstrate good governance and set an example of how a company operates with integrity and transparency.
